Program Description Become a Champion's educational program is dedicated to helping at risk youth, specifically those who are struggling in the classroom. The organizational goal is to identify with these youth and determine the barriers that kept the youth from being successful in school. Upon Identifying these barriers, the BAC staff coordinates educational training sessions twice a week for students. Providing students with professional tutors that can assist them in various school subjects. (Math, reading, and writing skills are emphasised.) 40% of the students in our BAC program are at risk and receive free or reduced lunch. These individuals make up our "Focus Group". Recovery Process (Dropped out students) Identifying and enrolling individuals into a school that is most capable of meeting the individuals needs. Prevention Process Providing tutoring in the required areas of study ( helping students maintain and/or achieve an overall G.P.A. of 2.5 or higher). "BAC" organizes our at risk kids to formally shadow professional at their job site.
